During the school year, Highland Youth, grades 6-12, typically meet together every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm for various events filled with activities, games, friends, equipping, and community.
Our group strives to be a safe place which exists to empower our students to establish healthy, Jesus centred relationships. Depending on the week this takes place in different ways: small group nights, service opportunities, large group events, and evenings at Highland spent playing games and having good conversations.
The best way to find out what's going on each week is to be included in our email list. You can ask to be included by messaging our Youth Leader, Matt Janzen, at email@example.com.
Prior to attending your first youth event of the year please complete the Youth Release Form linked below (you only need to complete this once per year).
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we are asking that each attendee complete a Health Screening Form, linked below, not more than 24 hours prior to attending an in-person youth event. This form needs to be completed before each in-person youth event you are participating in.
As Highland Youth is considered a Youth Recreation/Education program, we are currently able to meet in-person in groups of less than 50!
The short list of protocols for our in-person events moving forward include things such as staying 6ft apart, using lots of hand sanitizer, requiring masks, and playing games that don't require touching of the same object/being in each other's spaces.
Please do not come to any events if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone either diagnosed or symptomatic of COVID-19.
A full list of protocols can be found under our COVID-19 Safety Plan. Please contact the Youth Leader at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more info.
