Children are very important to the life of the church and their participation is encouraged and valued at Highland. For the summer months the children are provided with clipboards of activities for during the service. Our Learning for Life (L4L) program, for children aged 3 to grade 5, will be revamped over the coming year. In the meantime we will continue to provide activities for the kids for during the service and including them in the different aspects of worship.

Below are some of the activities that the Learning for Life children have taken part in over the past while.

During February the L4L kids looked at love and put together these hearts.
​​"Thanksgiving Gifts" was the theme of this quilt put together with love by Connie Peters.

The L4L children were invited to read Psalm 104 with their parents then draw a picture of something that was related to those verses.  The L4L children aren't meeting on a regular basis so this was one way they could contribute to the worship life of Highland while being apart.  The quilt will be displayed at the church in the future so we can all be blessed by their gifts.

​For Easter the L4L kids were invited to take part in colouring this beautiful mosaic butterfly.  Each of the kids received one or two pieces of the butterfly to colour and then the L4L team put the images together.  They did an amazing job and created something truly beautiful.
