Please listen, O Shepherd of Israel,
O God, enthroned above the cherubim
display your radiant glory
Show us your mighty power.
Come Rescue us!
Turn us to yourself, O God.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved.
O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies,
Hear our prayers
We live in a world of tears,
fear, and hate Athiests and
unbelievers consider us as a joke.
Turn us to yourself,
O God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
Strengthen the people you love, the sons and daughters of your choiceThen we will never abandon you. Revive us so we can call on your name once more. Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us.

Parable of the Talents ~ Matthew 25: 14-30
Prayer of Confession
Lord of Creation,
We confess that we have squandered your gifts
and used them as if they had been given for us alone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart.
We have failed to be an obedient church.
We have not done your will,
We have broken your law,
We have rebelled against your love,
We have not loved our neighbours,
And we have not heard the cry of the needy.
Forgive us, we pray.
Free us for joyful obedience,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Words of Assurance
Hear the Good News: We have not been faithful in all things. But our God welcomes us with patience and kindness. Therefore, as people of God’s promise, let us receive forgiveness, embrace hope, and faithfully respond, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
O Holy One:
All you ask of us is to remember You and to love one another,
and You are more than willing to teach us how.
Yet we find this simple request so hard to carry out,
this easy lesson so difficult to learn.
We quickly forget the goodness of Your love.
We struggle to honour others, to share, to be hospitable.
We fail to live at peace with our loved ones,
and try to avoid rather than bless our enemies.
Instead of overcoming evil with good,
we hate what is good and cling to what is evil.
As you have graciously done in the past,
stretch out your mighty arm
and work the signs and wonders of forgiveness.
Remember your covenant
and rescue us from our wilderness wanderings;
guide us from the arid land of sin.
Heal us, and renew us
so we can become the people you dream about;
loving, merciful, gentle, and compassionate
children of God, for the sake of Jesus, our Saviour.
Assurance of Pardon
When we are isolated in our sin;
defaced by evil; overwhelmed by death;
Jesus says, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
