O Come, O Come Emmanuel
Come Walk in the Light
Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
Hallelujah, Joy is Coming
I Could Sing of Your Love Forever
Three questions for Sunday:
"The theme for the third Sunday of Advent is joy. Isaiah 61 describes God’s servant being anointed and being clothed in garments of praise. Describe one way in which God’s spirit has been upon you. Or describe one time in which you have experienced the Lord’s anointing and met Jesus.
The story of God is one in which we are invited to cooperate with God in blessing the world and setting it right—about coming alongside God and God’s mission. So how are you “doing ministry”—bringing joy at home/in the neighbourhood/at work/etc.? Or as Isaiah 61:1-4 puts it, how are you “declaring the year of the Lord’s favour”?
Isaiah 61:10-11 talks about seeds of righteousness and praise springing up in our lives, and our souls delighting in the Lord. What is a way in which you are experiencing that? What is one thing you’re discovering about Jesus these days that causes your soul to delight in the Lord?" ~ J. Janzen
